A Cheerful Heart – Part 2

King Solomon wrote, “The cheerful heart has a continual feast.” (Prov. 15:15.)

King Solomon also penned, “A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” ( Prov. 17:22.)

Make these scriptures life verses. Why? Because they are powerful truths to meditate on. Study them out yourself. You just might discover that a cheerful heart really is a continual feast and good medicine. Awesome to meditate on! You also might find out that a crushed spirit really does dry up the bones. What a terrible thought! Take it captive immediately to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor. 10:5.)

The life of the flesh is in our blood (Lev. 17:11.) Research tells us that our blood cells are primarily formed in our bone marrow. So, let’s ask God what He meant when He said: “a crushed spirit dries up the bones?” Listen to what He has to say. Pray in the spirit and ask Him to cause our understanding to be made fruitful. He will give us revelation knowledge as we open up our heart to God’s Word, hear His voice. We challenge you to research yourself where blood cells originate. We believe as you do this, it will bring light to the validity and power of God’s Word. Let’s place our confidence in the fact that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, so sharp that it can divide between bone & marrow. (Heb. 4:12.)

We believe you will be amazed as you study God’s Word out at the vast knowledge contained in it and all it can teach you. The wisdom and understanding of God’s Word are supernatural. God’s Word covers not just spiritual matters but things that affect us here on earth, such as our physical, mental, and emotional health.

That’s why God’s Word tells us, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2.)

We need to understand there is a direct connection between the spiritual us — the real us — and the physical us, which includes our body and our soul/mind. We can keep a cheerful heart by counting our blessings every day. And as we count our blessings every day, watch as it impacts on our physical health. And we will experience the love, joy, and peace already in our spirits, which is a beautiful, wonderful blessing.
