God Takes Pleasure in Meeting Our Needs

Matthew 7:11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in Heaven give good things to them that ask Him?

Jesus is not saying that you’re evil. No. He’s making a point: What kind of parent would ever deny their children the necessities of life? If you have children, would you fail to feed them? Or provide for them? Or if they ask you for food, would you give them poison instead? Of course not. This is the point Jesus is making.

God is love (1 John 4:8)! And His love for each of His children, young and old, is INFINITELY GREATER than ANY loving relationship here on earth. Imagine that! His love is awesome! Read 1 Cor. 13:1-8 and 1 Cor. 13:13. Then apply this truth about God’s love for you to ANY COMMAND or example you find in God’s Word where His standards for relationship are revealed. Be assured that He will MUCH MORE than meet those standards Himself.

This gives us confidence that, in the same way we respond in love to our children and to those who are in need, our God, who is love, will also respond to us. Why? Because God is faithful and He will always give us the things that we need. And ALL His promises are Yes and Amen to His glory! (2 Cor. 1:20)

Today, let the Lord be magnified in your life! (Psalm 35:27)

Be confident that it pleases God, your loving Father, to minister to you. Let Him have pleasure in meeting your needs today.

James 4:2 says, “You have not because you ask not.” If you don’t know what to do, if you feel that you need more wisdom — James 1:5 has the solution!

Ask your loving Father today to show you how much He loves you! Teach your family members and children to ask Him the same thing. “God, show me today just how much you love me.” His love is so great! It’s so awesome! It’s as wide as you allow it to be in your life; as deep as you will let it be; and as high as you will allow.

Psalms 78:41 tells us another important key: Stay in relationship with Him! And don’t limit Him!

Start focusing on all the good things that are in your new born again spirit! Learn all the good things that are already in your new born again spirit! And then learn how to release what you already have. (Philemon 1:6)

John 16:24 tells us that God wants us to ask so we can receive. Believe Him! And KNOW that He gets pleasure when you ask Him! It’s that awesome! It’s awesome because He’s an awesome God and He thinks you’re awesome, too! Every day thank Him for His amazing love! For His amazing grace! And that His mercies are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness!! (Lamentations 3:22-23)
