Chpt 12 – Like Precious Faith

Romans 5:1 (NKJV) “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”

We are not justified or made right with God through our good works or law-keeping the Law. Rather, our justification is paid for with the blood of Jesus (Rom. 5:9) and comes to us as a gift of grace (Rom. 3:24; Tit. 3:7) that is received by faith (Rom. 3:28; Gal. 3:24). As a result of being justified, we are made righteous and have peace with the God of peace (Rom. 15:1). Wow! Thank You, Abba! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit!

In the kingdom, peace always follows righteousness (Rom. 14:17; 2 Tim. 2:22; Heb. 7:2; 12:11). If we are more conscious of our sin than His righteousness, we will never enjoy peace with God.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

We were justified by the faith of the Son of God! God not only provided salvation but also gave us the faith to receive it. Our mind and heart were simply too corrupted to believe on its own! We were so bound up in sin before being born again we couldn’t reach out in our own ability to receive the salvation God had ALREADY purchased for us! This sin-caused blindness separated us from God. BUT…. PRAISE GOD! HE PIERCED THROUGH OUR DARKNESS!

Not only were we born again through that faith, but we’re to live our entire Christian life by it! It’s very clear that it’s not just a human faith that receives from God BUT His own supernatural faith!

Knowledge Problem

The first step is to believe we have this faith but the goal is to release its benefits into our soul and body!

The supernatural faith of God is always present! Our faith beings to operate, work, become effective, when we acknowledge the good things that God has already put in us in Christ (Philem. 1:6). Acknowledge that God has ALREADY given us His supernatural faith! We don’t have a faith deficiency; we have a knowledge problem! We don’t know what we’ve got! Every born-again believer has been given the measure of faith! (Rom. 12:3, Gal. 2:16 & Gal. 2:20)

The knowledge that we’ve been given the faith of Jesus Christ and its potential will give us all the motivation we need to not quit until we see it manifest. If we could just grasp what we’re sharing, our expectation level would shoot through the roof!

Peter, Paul & You

Paul used the faith of Jesus (Gal. 2:20). Paul tells us how He lived. If Paul lived by the faith of the Son of God, then that means every other born-again believer like him also has the faith of the son of God. What a radical truth!

2 Peter 1:1 (NKJV) “Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:”

Peter shared this precious faith with us. It wasn’t something we have to search for or seek after; we ALREADY have it! Did we receive this faith by being holy and doing things? No, it came “through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” When we were born again, we also received this “like precious faith.”

Faith is not something we manufacture, but something receive. It is a gift from God (Eph. 2:8). Faith comes from hearing about the love of God that has been revealed to us through Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:17).

There are different kinds of faith: There’s dead faith and saving faith. There’s faith in ourselves, and faith in Christ. There’s faith that leads to works of self-righteousness, and faith that receives the gift of Christ’s righteousness. If we have the latter kind of faith, we have the same kind of faith as Peter and the apostles.

Focus today on God’s grace! Not on how much faith we have. For if we believe that God has made us righteous for no reason other than He loves us, then we have the same precious faith as the apostles. We are not kept safe by our faithfulness to Christ but by His faithfulness to us. Christ lives in us, and it is His faith and His faithfulness that sustains us.

God demonstrates His justice and rightness by freely giving us the faith we need. God asks nothing of us except that we trust Him, and then He gives us the faith to trust Him. How gracious, how good, and how righteous is our God! Peter released his faith and manifested many awesome things! (Matt. 14:29, Acts 2:37-41, Acts 3:6-7, Acts 5:15-16, Acts 9:36-41). This is he who said you have “like precious faith!”

Like Paul, Peter had been given the measure of faith upon being born again. He was living his life by the faith of the Son of God – and we can too!!

Same Faith As Jesus!

We have the same faith as Jesus! All of our thoughts and concepts that are contrary to the revelation of God’s Word block the flow. However as we continue renewing our mind, more of God’s supernatural faith that’s in us will be FREE to manifest! Lean how to release what we ALREADY have! Matthew 17:20 tells us that all we need is grain of mustard seed and we could tell a mountain to move, and it would obey us! Just speak to it, and our faith will work! Believe God’s Word! Believe His promises! Believe that He’s that good! What a difference this revelation will make in our life!

We can now honestly and boldly declare, “I was given the measure of faith from Jesus at salvation! The faith of Christ is in us – no more and no less than any other born-again believer. The same faith Jesus used to raise Lazarus from the dead is available to us right now. It’s just a matter of renewing our mind because in our spirit, we’ve got the same power, anointing and potential. From this day forward, let’s expect to see an increase of manifestation in our lives to the glory of God! Amen!”
