A Cheerful Heart – Part 3
Now that we’ve learned a little bit about the importance of a cheerful heart and laughter, let’s take a quick health check:
Ask yourself: Do I have a cheerful heart? Am I anticipating good things from my Father? Yes? That’s awesome! Expect to prosper and be in health (3 John 2) no matter what’s going on around you, because Psalm 91 tells us that our Father will give His angels charging concerning us to guard as in all our ways when we dwell in His shelter and abide in His shadow, and agree with His Word.
How can we agree with God’s Word when it seems everything is falling apart around us? Again, Psalm 91:1-16! Study it. God’s Word is true and inspired from cover to cover by the Holy Spirit!
If we don’t have a cheerful heart, why not? Do we understand how much God loves us? If not, that’s an area to focus on and grow in. There is no condemnation or shame. Praise God. And as we become stronger and stronger in our relationship with God, we grow stronger and stronger in your understanding of how much He loves you.
Let’s study a few more scriptures from God’s Word about a cheerful heart.
Proverbs 12:25 says, “An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.” Let’s use our words to give people hope, to bring some joy into someone’s life.
Proverbs 15:13 “A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.”
Proverbs 15:15 – “The cheerful heart has a continual feast.”
These verses show a primary relationship between our mental attitude and our physical well-being. Said another way how we think in our hearts has a direct bearing on our physical health. What is on the inside will eventually manifest itself physically on the outside.
So, let’s meditate on scriptures day and night that will cause us to have a cheerful heart. For when we know all that God has already done for us, and we meditate on all that God has already done for us, we will experience a cheerful heart, no matter what.
