Chpt 5 – One With Jesus
As Jesus is, so are we – right now – in this world! (1 John 4:17).
Notice how we are just like Jesus in this world! The Word says NOW, presently, here on earth! It’s not talking about heaven in the future! As Jesus is right now, so are we! It’s not our body, nor our soul, BUT our spirit right NOW is as Jesus is. What an awesome truth! Choosing to be spiritually minded — agreeing with what the Word says — leads to life and peace!
The moment you received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we became as Jesus is. Since He is perfectly holy and righteous, we are perfectly holy and righteous (Eph. 4:24). Our behavior may not be just like His, but in our new spirit we are as holy as He is for Christ is our holiness! Why does the Bible call us to be holy? Because it’s who you truly are. You are holy, so be holy as He is holy (1 Pet. 1:16). But note: holy means to be “set-apart” or “uncommon.”
Hitting Pay Dirt
If we truly believed that we are, in our spirit, just as Jesus is right NOW in Heaven – in all of His glory, power and perfection – our life would be revolutionized! However, believing is JUST the First step. We must also learn HOW to release this reality from within. It’s a process! As the seed of this truth becomes firmly rooted and established in our mind, begins in our soulish realm. Over time, we’ll see radical changes manifest as we continue believing this truth and releasing God’s corresponding power from within our born-again spirit.
The more we know and understand God’s Word, the quicker we’ll start seeing spiritual riches manifest in our life. But before any of it works, WE MUST acknowledge what’s ALREADY there. In our spirit, as Jesus is, so are we in this world!
Embracing The Truth
We are one with Jesus Christ right now. “But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit” (1 Cor. 6:17). This speaks of complete union! We are molecule-for-molecule and atom-for-atom identical to Jesus! As He is, so are we in this world. In our spirit, we are completely one with Him! The original word for “joined” means to glue or cement together. We have been cemented to the Lord by the Holy Spirit and we are stuck with Him for good! Thank You, Jesus!!!
But we need to believe and experience this truth! We can be transformed by renewing our mind to the point where we prove – manifest to our physical senses – the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Rom. 12:1-2). By embracing the Word, we’ll be able to see the perfection that’s in our spirit start flowing out through our soul and body. Virtue will flow out of us and heal people just like it did with Jesus!
Keep Digging
If you think you can see, taste, hear, smell and feel is all there is to reality, you won’t be able to walk in all of God’s will. You won’t experience the power and ability of God within if you can’t perceive things beyond your body and soul. You must believe you are one with Him in spirit and that it’s your responsibility to release His power from within in order to see it manifest.
It’s just a matter of releasing what He’s placed in you. Pray and believe for things when there is no natural evidence whatsoever! Believe you can manifest such power. You’ll start seeing some healed. Power will manifest that is beyond your natural ability! Don’t stop! Keep mining the riches God placed in your born-again spirit!
One-third of us is complete. One-third of us is identical to and one with Jesus. One-third of us is wall-to wall Holy Ghost! This understanding will raise our confidence, security, and faith and we will confront and overcome problems now that we weren’t able to before! Keep digging! These truths work the same for each of us!!
