How To Receive Our Healing
Healing is included in what Jesus paid for. Think about that. Meditate on that. Then let’s study how to receive this healing. And let’s take this truth seriously because our health is important to God.
We must believe that God has already healed us. That healing was included in the gifts He has given us through Jesus Christ. That by the whipping, the scourging, the mutilation of Jesus by the Roman guards, we were healed. It’s a done deal, finished more than 2,000 years ago.
We must get to a place where we really believe right now we are healed, no matter what we may be experiencing with our 5 physical senses. How do we do that? The “how” depends on what we consider the “real you.” We need to realize there is much more to us than just our physical bodies and our soul, which includes our mind, will, and emotions. We need to realize we right now have something more than just our 5 senses. We need to also realize that to exalt our 5 senses in our lives, to be controlled by our 5 senses, means we’re living a carnal life, chasing after our old nature.
There is a 3rd part to every one of us who have put our trust and faith in our risen Lord and Savior. It is our spirit, which cannot be seen or felt. In fact, it is impossible to contact our spirit in any way except through believing what the Word of God says. And how can we believe what God’s Word says about our born again spirit – about our new nature (2 Cor. 5:17) – if our Bibles are dusty, sitting on our coffee tables? We must dust them off and start reading them, believing what God’s Word says is true.
John 6:63 records Jesus as saying “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life!”
Unfortunately, it is difficult for the average person to believe something that doesn’t agree with their 5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. We need to mature and get to a place where we exalt God’s Word over our 5 senses and believe we are healed. It’s a heart condition. Do we really trust God’s Word more than everything going on in our physical body? We need to get to a place where we can.
Why? Because we have already been healed! (1 Pet. 2:24.) God has already done everything it takes for us to be healed! Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave, stripped Satan of his authority and power that he’d deceived Adam and Eve into giving him, and now today, through His Spirit living in us, we have the authority and power to speak life and death: life to our bodies and death to whatever does not agree with God’s Word. Jesus gave us an example. He spoke to a fig tree that was not producing as He had designed it to, and it immediately dried up at the root. His disciples did not see this with their physical eyes until the next day when they saw the leaves in a death state.
Healing is in our spirit and we have to draw it out of our spirit so healing will manifest in our flesh. We have to have the attitude that God has already done His part. And He’s put His power on the inside of us. It’s up to us now whether or not we get healed.
Ephesians 1:19-20 (KJV) says “and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places!” We need to stop being so passive and take up the sword of the spirit, which is God’s Word, and take the ground that has been taken from us.
Let’s meditate on this: We have raising-from-the-dead power inside of us! Let’s confess this spiritual truth over our lives until we can see it manifest in our physical bodies with our spiritual eyes! Get angry at the devil! It’s okay to be mad at the devil. Get mad at sickness! Get mad at poverty! Hate it. Hate weakness. Inadequacy. It is not how God made us be! 3 John 2 tells us that God’s desire is that we prosper and be in health as we prosper our minds in His Word.
The majority of people who get healed and stay healed get this attitude. They keep themselves stirred up! They turn on those things by praying in the spirit and commanding God’s will in their lives and the lives of those around them. This is how they resist the devil who will then flee from them. Get in the driver’s seat. “Hey, if God has already healed me, I’m not staying there anymore!”
Ephesians 1:3 says “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” God has already blessed us! He’s already done it!
Don’t just see healing as something out there in the future. Let’s start speaking God’s Word and activating the raising from the dead power of God that He’s already placed on the inside of us. Let’s believe we have already been healed instead of looking to get healed. Let’s be careful not to elevate our 5 senses above the Spiritual world.
Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
The Spiritual realm is the parent force. The parent is greater than what was created. It’s what gave birth to all things in the physical realm. For that reason, the Spirit world is more real than our physical world what many call reality. The reality is that the Spirit world controls the physical world. We can have confidence in this fact. As we understand this fact, speaking God’s spiritual word and exalting it will be what drives us.
Stop letting the carnal physical realm control us. Instead, let’s elevate God’s Word! Let’s meditate on His Word!
Proverbs 4:22 (KJV) says “God’s Word is health unto all of our flesh!” The Word of God gives both spiritual and physical life to us. God’s Word will physically produce health in us. This goes along with what was said in Proverbs 4:10, Psalms 34:12, Proverbs 4:10, Proverbs 4:10, 14:30, 15:4, 13, and 17:22.
Psalm 107:20 (KJV) “He sent His Word and healed them!”
Healing and deliverance are in God’s Word. Those who lack healing and deliverance lack a proper understanding of God’s Word. That’s why it tells us to get understanding. Once we understand the truths of God’s Word, things come into perspective.
2 Pet. 1:3-4 says “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises.”
Peter was saying that everything we need comes through knowledge of the finished work of Jesus Christ and what it accomplished. That’s because Jesus has already given us everything we could ever need when we were born again. We don’t need to get something new. What we need is a revelation of what we already have in Christ.
It is important to understand that faith is already present. (Gal. 5:22-23.) Learn how to use what we already have. Prosperity is already given. Learn the laws that govern God’s prosperity and cooperate with them. Healing has already been deposited on the inside of us. (1 Pet. 2:24.). We have the same raising-from-the-dead power that raised Jesus from the dead in our spirits. (Eph. 1:20.) We don’t need any more power. We just have to acknowledge what we have (Philemon 1:6) and then learn how to use it.
Believe that you are already healed. Stand and say, “I reject X. I was healed. I am healed!”
God’s Word is spiritual truth! t’s already done. And it’s a lot easier to get something we already have than to try to get something we don’t have. Let’s quit trying to do something to get God to respond to us. Instead, let’s start believing we are healed. And get angry and fight and resist the symptoms! Resist the devil and he will flee from us.
Start saying, “I am healed. It is done!” Keep saying it. Let’s believe we’re not trying to get healed anymore, but that we are the healed of the Lord! Use our words for what God intended them for: To speak life into situations! See ourselves healthy, prosperous and whole! Visualize it. And keep speaking. Because God’s creative power is voice-activated!! Then take one step. And then another step. And then another step. And don’t quit! Keep walking in the spirit and let’s watch as God’s Word changes the environment around us.
