Let God Fill Your List
1 Peter 1:23 – God’s Word is an incorruptible seed! It will never decay! It can’t! It’s alive! It’s active! It’s powerful! The parable of the sower and the seed calls the Word seed. Seed is how everything works! It is God’s system! Seed….Time….Harvest….Time. Keep this in mind as we move on to create a list of things we want to accomplish.
So often we create a list of the things we want to do and achieve. Then we hand this list over to God and say, “Father, bless my list.” But here’s a wonderful activity for you that can you help achieve much more than you ever dreamed of by letting God fill in your list.
Take a sheet of paper write “God’s List.” Under “God’s List, write “I will let God fill in my list.” And then sign it. As He gives you something to write down, start filling in God’s List for you. It can be loads of fun checking off one thing after another as you watch each item on this list be completed. And notice, as this is happening, your desires become His desires, while your life becomes much more fulfilled than it ever was before.
While you’re working on your God list, stay focused. Don’t spend too much time thinking about the evil and confusion all around you. Why? Psalm 34 starts with the command not to envy the wicked, because they will be cut down as grass (Psalms 37:1-2). Then Psalms 37:3-6 promises ultimate victory over the wicked to those who put their trust in the Lord. NOW that’s a promise to hold on to!
The entire chapter in Psalm 34 is powerful! Check out Psalm 34:1-4, 7-9, 15-20. These scriptures will cause the spirit within you to rise up and praise His most holy name! For He took ALL your sin upon Himself and gave you His righteousness! What an amazing exchange! Wow! What an awesome Savior we have!!
So rest in the Lord, wait patiently, and don’t become envious of the wicked. Humble yourself and you will see God exalt you in the fullness of time (1 Peter 5:6). He will NEVER let the righteous fall (Ps. 55:22). Thank You, Father! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit!!!
