#4 – You Are Valuable
God wants you to know that you are valuable in His sight! You are His workmanship (Eph. 2:10)! His masterpiece! Think about this: A masterpiece is an extremely valuable work of art. So valuable that they are protected with the highest security measures.
That’s what you are! Think about this: The word “valuable” means expensive, precious, priceless and important.” That’s how God sees you! Whoa!!
The value of something is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it. What was paid for you? The very life of Jesus (1 Peter 1:18-19)!! In fact, no one took His life. Jesus laid it down willingly. After the transfiguration, He could have gone home (John 17:5) to His Father. But He chose to fulfill His mission: reconciling mankind back to God (2 Cor. 5:18-19)! Fixing the problem that Adam created.
As the soldiers approached Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter took out his sword and cut off the ear of one of these soldiers. Jesus told Peter that He could call 12 legions of angels at any time to come and defend Him (Matt. 26:47-52). One legion in the Roman army was about 2000 men. But as Jesus prayed in the Garden, He asked His Father, “If there was another way to accomplish this important mission, to let this cup pass by Him; then He said; not My will but Your will be done (Matt. 26:39).” Wow!
Because you are valuable to God, He has given His angels charge concerning you to guard you in ALL of your ways (Ps. 91:11)! You have the angelic army that Jesus referred to on your side! Think of this: When Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the Syrian army, Elisha prayed that God would open up the eyes of his servant so he could see how the enemy was already outnumbered by the angelic armies of heaven (2 Kings 6:15-17)! This is similar to Paul’s prayer in Eph. 1:18-23!
After the transfiguration, Jesus set His face as flint to go into Jerusalem, knowing what was going to happen to Him. Why? Because of His love (John 15:13)! Such love! Such amazing love! And yet, He did it for you! Why? Because you are so valuable to Him! Receive this truth into your heart and watch all oppression and depression flee! You are priceless! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for revealing this to my heart!!
